Following a significant fire, Ezy Projects’ 24/7 Make Safe team attended the property to secure the damaged rear section of the roof and protect the building from further weather exposure.
As the fire damaged structure was unsafe to walk on and could not support conventional fixings, our team developed an alternative installation method. Timber plates were securely fixed to the brickwork below the eave line, providing safe anchor points for the temporary roof covering.
Using a controlled rope system, the tarpaulin was carefully pulled over the affected area and secured to the timber plates. Additional rope anchor points were installed to help protect the covering against strong winds, while the tarp edges were sealed to the existing roof tiles to prevent wind uplift and water ingress.
This tailored make safe solution allowed the property to be safely and effectively protected until permanent repairs could be undertaken.
