St Andrews Anglican Church sustained extensive water damage to its interior as a result of storms in 2021.
Ezy Projects were engaged to complete conservation & repair works to the interior and exterior of the Church Including:
– Major roof replacement
– Full internal and external roof ACM removal
– External masonry repairs
– New internal rendering
– New structural steel support for the bell cradle with careful attention to the Heritage Impact Statement provided by the Heritage Consultant
“Think about how the work might affect the heritage element. Aim to repair rather than replace, preserving the maximum amount of original material. This is not a new building and it should not look like a new building at the end.”
The project was completed in six months, eight weeks ahead of projected completion date and within an already crucial timeframe with the Church eagerly awaiting first service.
We recognised the need to incorporate the heritage aspects and impact to the existing building and grounds of this complex commercial project. While implementing pre-planning and construction a commercial approach was needed to complete the works in a timely and efficient manner.
Throughout the process, Ezy Projects stayed in constant communication with all stakeholders and our site team, sub-contractors and suppliers worked courteously and professionally throughout the entire project, always mindful of the heritage significance of the building.
